I’ve written and sold over 30 drama series for television, produced and directed some of them as well. Google me if you don’t believe me. So why another scriptwriting course? There must be hundreds of them.
Yes, but not like this one. Scriptwriting manuals are often massive books, costing an arm and a leg. This one is just a simple little booklet and quite cheap.
Does cheap mean worthless? Will you be a better script writer if you pay more for the course and spend months reading it? I don’t think so. Personally I think you’ve been had when you buy some those thick bastards filled with thousands upon thousands of words. Why on earth would you need all that information in order to write a TV script? Are you an idiot or something?
I think some of those script course writers mean well, but I believe there are those who thicken the manual just get more money out fo you. I remember seeing one with over 500 pages of waffle in it. Really? You need all that BS to become a TV script writer?
Look, you need the creative gift. I can’t give you that, no-one can. What I can give you, is a short and sweet guide to the knowledge you REALLY need if you’re going to write a TV script worth selling.
And I promise you it’s not thousands upon thousands of words.
